This event, organised for the occasion of the opening of the Brussels port by the Belgian Aéroclub, was to include an International competition for "Hydroaéroplanes" or float-planes on three rivers: the Schelde, Meuse and Rhine. Unfortunately the outbreak of the first World War prevented this manifestation to take place.
